The 34th Annual Vance Simmons Junior Rice Planters Amateur
Snee Farm Country Club, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina
July 24-26, 2011


Eligibility: Entries are open to all juniors ages 12 – 18 who have not reached their 19th birthday by July 27th, who have high school eligibility left, and who have a current USGA Handicap Index as of their entry date.
   Girls 12 – 18 ~ Maximum Handicap 16.0
   Boys 12 – 14 ~ Maximum Handicap 14.0
   Boys 15 – 18 ~ Maximum Handicap 6.0

Entries: The field will be limited to 84 eligible juniors.
   48 players ~ Boys ages 15 – 18
   24 players ~ Boys 12 – 14
   12 players ~ Girls 12 – 18

Entries must be received by July 15th, 2011 and must include the entry fee of $175.
The entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if the Snee Farm Pro Shop is notified before the close of entries. No refunds will be issued after June 20th.

Golf Week: The Junior Rice Planters Amateur is included in the Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index computed by Jeff Sagarin.

Practice Round: Juniors can bring family or parents along to play in the practice round on July 24rd. Juniors may ride ($17); practice round is included in entry fee for players. Cost for family and/or parents is $61 per player (includes cart).

Caddies/Carts: Caddies are prohibited. Juniors are required to walk and at no time may they or their equipment ride on a cart, with the exception of inclement weather and necessary evacuation from the golf course. Spectator carts are allowed at a cost of $20.

Footwear: It is a condition of competition at Snee Farm Country Club that shoes with metal or traditionally designed spikes are prohibited. If you wish to play in this event, you must waive any claim for injuries, which might be attributable to the use of spikeless shoes. If you are unwilling to assume the risk, DO NOT ENTER THIS TOURNAMENT.

Lodging: There are several hotels close to the golf course that support the Junior Rice Planters. Direct links are found on the Junior Rice Planters’ website. These hotels are near the Mount Pleasant Towne Centre (www.mtpleasanttownecentre.com/) which provides shopping, eating, and entertainment. The beaches of Isle of Palms are a mere 10 minutes away. Downtown Charleston is approximately 12 miles away.

Player registration is 10am – 6pm Sunday, July 24, 2011 in golf shop. Failure to register during this time may result in disqualification.
